Volunteer Christmas Dinner 2015
Around thirty people gathered at Eagle Lodge on Thursday 9th December for our annual THANK YOU Christmas lunch. Here Jacki shares her appreciation to our wonderful team of volunteers.
You have probably already heard from us how appreciative we are of our volunteers. Once a year, we have the opportunity to express our gratitude with something more than words - our Volunteer Christmas lunch is an opportunity for the volunteers to be spoilt. We don’t let them lift a finger (if we can help it, although that is always a challenge, as they all have such servant hearts!) and we try to make the meal a little bit special for them!
This year, we had the wonderful help of another volunteer - Janey Hames’ sister, Suki, came to join the catering team (Janey, Jane and myself, Jacki - yes, you really do have to be a staff member with the initial “J” to your name - where were you John? LOL!). Suki’s help was invaluable and there was, as usual, much laughter as well as many deep and spiritual conversations.
So once again THANK YOU to our wonderful team of volunteers - somehow one Christmas dinner doesn’t really reflect the depth of our gratitude to you but it’s a start!
A collection of the photos are now available to view on our [CMJ UK Facebook page](https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.505158299665218.1073741834.198195430361508&type=3 “Photo album of Christmas lunch”). If you are on Facebook, just click and view :-)
