Our finance manager, Alan Bowell, had an exciting conversation with a lady who was desperately wanting to obey God’s instruction to her, through CMJ.

Sometimes at work we get very pleasant surprises.

A few weeks ago I took a phone call from a lady who’d had no previous contact with CMJ. “Will you send me a standing order form?” she said, “as I have to give to support evangelising Jewish people.”

Out of nowhere, as far as I could gather, this lady suddenly felt God’s calling to support Jewish Evangelism. I asked her how she had heard about CMJ and she said she hadn’t! She had Googled “Jewish Evangelism” or something similar and had found us. She said we were the only organisation in the UK that she could find. There are, of course, others, but maybe this was God specifically guiding her towards CMJ? So I took her name and address and said I would send her the relevant form. Her comment was “well can you do it quickly please, as I want to start now!” So I did, and quickly. “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Cor. 9:7 NIV), and this lady is certainly one of those. May the Lord bless her greatly.
