Brilliant blog piece. I am not Jewish. To the best of my knowledge I have no Jewish ancestry at all, but our family has been celebrating Passover instead of Easter for more than a decade and we have always encouraged other believers to do likewise. We even ended up writing a book on the biblical festivals titled, Sabbath to Sukkot:Rest to Restoration in an effort to provide for mainly non-Jewish believers to develop an understanding and theological appreciation for the festivals. From my experience, it is the Church's traditional interpretation of Paul that has led to these problems as if Paul were taken out of the picture, we would never come to the conclusion that the Jewish expression of the faith had ended. Our family took a long hard look at Paul, reading his texts more closely and came to the opposite of the traditional interpretation and we cannot be happier. For us, the "Old Testament" is no longer dead but alive with meaning.
