We have a dedicated staff team at CMJ UK who work alongside a team of volunteers to help bring the good news of Messiah to the Jewish population here in the UK. With a mixture of staff working from the CMJ UK office, making visits across the UK, or in Jewish communities, they all play a vital role in carrying out the mandate we believe God has given us.

John Brooks

Chief Operations & Finance Officer

John has always lived in Nottinghamshire. John was brought up in a Christian family which led to his own conversion when he was 10 years old. John worked extensively in the public sector as a qualified public sector accountant (CIPFA) until 2011. He then changed tracks and got involved in the charity sector. John’s role with CMJ is full-time.

John has travelled widely to help other Christians: France, to help build a church; Zambia, to develop financial systems at a mission school; Romania, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Ukraine, Siberia to delivering Bibles, study books and practical aid; and Thailand and Myanmar (Burma) supporting the Christians with the persecuted, internally-displaced / refugee Karen people.

John is married to Carol, they live in Mansfield. They fellowship at Calvary Mansfield and manage the charity All4Burma.

John’s focus on the Jewish people has been guided by Bible teaching which clearly shows them as being the apple of God’s eye. This interest has been expanded through sharing in Seder meals and studying future event prophecies.

John is a lover of hot and spicy food – especially Thai and Indian! His wider interests also include motorsports, travel, and Christian music.
