Volunteering
If you have some time on your hands and would like to bless CMJ in a more practical way, then you might like to consider becoming a volunteer. If you are able to go to Israel, there are a number of places and ways in which you can volunteer. Click here to open CMJ Israel's page on volunteering.
At Eagle Lodge, we have a number of amazing volunteers who help with the smooth running of the office. From stuffing envelopes to changing beds, there are a huge variety of tasks that can make a huge difference to the work. The amount of time that each volunteer is able to give varies enormously - currently we have people who can spare a couple of hours a month and one valiant volunteer who works two days a week. We are flexible but also need to be sure that you are committed. It can make life very difficult in the office if we are expecting help and for some reason the person is unable to come.
The tasks undertaken vary enormously, also. There is computer based work (for which a degree of computer literacy is obviously essential) as well as more practical tasks. The new HQ has a hospitality suite and on occasions we host meals for anything from 10 to 40 people - so practical assistance with this is always a great blessing.
If you live near enough to Eagle Lodge and feel that God is leading you in this direction, please contact Jacki Turney on 01623 883960 or email jackit@cmj.org.uk.
