Many people read about our work and would like to be involved in it. "Where do we start?" is a frequent question asked. The starting point for any involvement in God's work is prayer. Pray for our work and for those who are involved in it.
CMJ distributes a wide range of prayer material to aid you in this:
Shalom Magazine:
This is produced annually. It contains articles relevant to the Society's work. There is a succinct prayer column usually on the inside back cover. Subscription (including 'News & Views', is £10 per year (includes postage)
Prayer Focus:
This is produced bi-monthly. It gives specific items to pray for each day, complementing the prayer diary. There is a special Introductory Prayer Bulletin for new supporters.

News & Views:

This is produced bi-monthly . It gives fresh updates on the Society's ministry. This is available in a subscription package with Shalom (see above). We are hoping to make it available via e-mail as well as standard post.
Picture of you guys sitting around praying in the mornings maybe...? Join or form a Prayer Group:
It can be hard to pray alone. There are many CMJ prayer groups in different areas and CMJ can put you in touch with one of these. If you find that there is not one in your area, why not start one? Two people are enough to begin a group. Prayer groups make use of all the prayer material mentioned above and may contain people with greater knowledge of CMJ. They might also make use of videos, other tapes and have visits from CMJ staff.

If you are wondering what to pray for, here are some regular needs for prayer...

CMJ needs people committed to give regularly to our work. Much of our giving comes from churches. CMJ supporters on PCCs and church councils can encourage funding of our work. Individual giving has become a key way in which CMJ is supported. You are invited to give regularly to CMJ. Even an apparently 'small' amount will be a vital contribution to our work. Gift Aid forms are available.
