Big House

Jen Robins heads up Big House, the Youthwork of CMJ.

Stourbridge-born acoustic folk singer Jennifer Danielle Robins was inspired to write her songs when working at a Guest House in Jerusalem, Israel.  She cut her first CD, Big House, while on a brief visit home in 2007 and her second CD, Jerusalem,   was released in December 2010 - which is NOW AVAILABLE from CMJ UK (click on the link, for details of how to buy).  Her songs are a gutsy blend of spiritual yearning and practical reality, with a touch of humour, reflecting the diversity of her experiences in Israel and the extremes of the environment.  Israel is a land of many contrasts, which often has a profound effect on those who visit.  This is tangibly evident in Jen’s music.

Jen Robins worked at Christ Church in Jerusalem as a volunteer in the guest house.  While she was there, God opened her eyes and her heart to His purposes for the Jewish people.  As a result of the things that God showed her, Jen wrote songs to express the journey that He had taken her on.

As the CMJ youthworker, Jen has spent the last year visiting churches and youth groups and sharing the songs and her testimony.  She has spent a good amount of time studying the scriptures to learn the background and to be able to share the teaching as well as the heart of the plans that God has for Israel.
